NUJ ARTV Kano Chapel set up three committees to bring about sustainable development in the outfit

In a statement issued by the Assistant Secretary of the union Naziru Idris Ya'u during a meeting presided over by the chairman of the Outfit Abubakar Shehu Kwaru.

During the session, a number of issues pertaining to the organization were discussed in terms of issues affecting the organization particularly the News Room stressing the need for all members to put hands on deck with a view to ensuring discipline dedication in the profession.

The first was three-member committee which is Finance Committee to be chaired by Mubarak Ismail Abubakar Madungurum, Farida Umar Abdu as Secretary of the committee and Zulfa'at Abubakar Rano as a Member, hence it saddle with responsibility to ensure transparency while all the properties belonging to the union handle will care including the two coasks.

The second committee was set up to organize the association's calendar under the chairmanship of Alhaji Ado Salisu and Naziru Idris Ya'u as Secretary and Abdullahi Hassan, Umma Adamu Abubakar and Zulfa'at Abubakar Rano as members of the committee.

The third committee was constituted to investigate the problems and obstacles of News Room aimed at instilling discipline under the leadership of Comrade Rabi'u Aboki Anas and Mallan Nasiru Yusuf Ibrahim as Secretary along side with Hafsat Sani Usman and Comrade Sabo Yahaya Aliyu and Zulfa ' at Abubakar Rano as committee members.

After setting up the three committees, Comrade Abubakar Shehu Kwaru called on the committees to be diligent in their work, saying all the chairpersons and members of the committees were selected based on merit charged them to work together to thrive the union and the television station forward with their wealth of experience.

The Chairman further used the occasion to thank the management of ARTV Kano under the leadership of Director General Hajiya Sa'a Ibrahim for the support and guidance towards the success of the new exco described her as exemplary leader who will leave a good legacy for emulation.

At the end of the meeting, Comrade Abubakar Shehu Kwaru charged members of the union to shun actions capable of causing disunity amongst them but rather work together for its growth.
