Kano Ministry for Local Govt flaggs off another distribution hand wash spray, face masks, spraye
The permanent secretary ministry for local government and Chieftaincy Affairs Alh Ibrahim Ahmad Sagagi has flagged off yet another distribution hand wash spray, face masks, sprayers and buckets to the 44 LGAs of Kano state.
Speaking during the occasion, the permanent secretary who was represented by the director Water environment and sanitation hygiene in the ministry,Alh Yahaya Nuhu Amasaye (Gado da Masu) said that the distribution of the materials will ensure the continues steps taking by the state government to minimize the risk of covid 19 pandemic among people.
In a statement signed by Public Relations Officer of the Ministry, Lawan Hamisu Danhassan,
stated that the state government will never on its side relent towards taking the appropriate measures to improve the health care of its citizens through the provision of all the necessary needed materials as well as enlightening the general public on the relevance of good hygiene of both body and environment.
Alh Yahaya Nuhu Amasaye then called on the heads of the Wesh department from the 44 LGAs not relent effort in mobilising the people on the dangers of open defecation to their health and environment hoping that by the year 2030 Kano state government will eradicate open defecation across the state.
He then commended the state governor,Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje for making the program possible to enable the ministry to distribute the the items monthly aimed at making Kano covid - 19 free state.
Earlier in her welcome address the deputy director of Wesh department, Malama Saddika Faruk commended and appreciate with the efforts of the heads of the department in the 44 LGAs urged them to maintain the tempo.
Speaking on behalf of the heads of departments the public relations officer of the forum, Alh Auwalu Isyaku Dawanau thanked the ministry and assured their usual support and cooperation to achieve the target.
Among the dignitaries that witnessed the occasion are Director Administration and general services, Alh Salisu Muhammad, deputy director Training and Recruitment, Alh Aminu Muktar deputy director account Malan Dayyabu Kawu and Ahmad Isyaku.
